Membership
Adults with a solid working knowledge of clay and our studio procedures (have taken class, or had an orientation) can apply to become studio members. We strongly recommend and prefer that you take a class first. All members must agree to adhere to the rules in the member guidelines and can choose from several different levels of studio use
Basic Membership $160/mo. If they have previously been in a class at our studio, members have 24 hour access to the studio, and are welcome at anytime. If they have not previously been in a class, we ask that for the first month of membership you come in during our regular open hours so that we may assist you, and be certain that you understand our studio procedures.
There are wheels and table space outside of the main classroom spaces for use during classes. Members can sell their work in the gallery if it is approved and meets gallery standards. Basic Membership includes the use of 3 shelves 18” x 36” each. Although there is overflow space for temporary excess and large pieces, members are expected to keep the volume of their work appropriate to fit in the space they are renting. Additional shelf space is available for $25 monthly per 18” x 36” shelf
Semi-Private Studio Space Basic Membership + $160 month. Semi Private studio spaces are approximately 60-70sq feet with 6' foot tall slat walls that are easy to layout shelves to your preference. Spaces must be kept reasonably clean due to the health hazard clay dust can create but are otherwise the members to set up and maintain to their liking. Spaces can be shared by multiple people each maintaining a basic membership and splitting the additional private studio cost.
Glaze and Fire Only $110/mo. For users with a home studio. Renters are alloted a shared shelf space to keep their bisqueware and glaze in progress on if needed. Users are not permitted to use other studio equipment outside of the glazing area, all other studio work must happen elsewhere. Glaze and Fire memberships are limited to the purchase and firing of a maximum of 50lbs of clay monthly.
